U14s away at Brooklands & U12s Cup result

It was a change of venue for the U14s, due to a very wet pitch at home.  Brooklands dominated their home turf in the first half of the game with Stockport getting only a very few shots on goal.
The second half saw the Blues up their game - with goals from Mike in Q3 and Q4, and a few more attempts on goal too.

Final Score - Brooklands 24  :  Stockport 2
Quarter scores : 8-0 / 6-0 / 6-1 / 4-1

Next fixture:  5th January, details to be confirmed.

U12s

In another fixture moved to the away team's pitch, the U12s travelled to the Wilmslow astroturf to play the delayed first round of the Onondaga Cup.
Not their best match play, but a win all the same, getting the team through to the 2nd round of the Cup!  Well done boys.

Final Score:  Wilmslow 6 : Stockport 12
Quarter scores:  2-1 / 2-2 / 6-2 / 2-1

Next fixture:  5th January, details to be confirmed.
Next round of the Cup : 26th Jan, at home vs WACS Mersey Guild

U14s at home vs Poynton A

The Stockport boys made a good start today with a Q1 win.  After this though, Poynton steadily pulled ahead, and Q1 was the only quarter we won.
More work needed on the basics in order to stay ahead of the competition and get where we want to be...

Final Score  Stockport 5 : Poynton A 13
Quarter Scores :  3-2 / 0-4 / 2-3 / 0-4

Next fixture: away at Brooklands

U12s Cup game vs Wilmslow was cancelled, so will be rescheduled - possibly for next week.  Watch out for communication on this.

Another great win for the U12s, with Cameron scoring a double hat-trick and Luke getting the opening, and the closing, goal, the match had 4 different scorers today.
Welcome to Rhys, who played in his first game for Stockport - and did a great job of getting stuck in.
Keep it up for next week boys, when we play the first round of the Onondaga Cup!

Final Score  Stockport 11  Ashton 6
Quarter Scores:  3-2 / 4-1 / 1-1 / 3-2

U12s away at Poynton A

Up to Poynton with a few new boys on the team too.  With the team pulling ahead in the first half, the second half saw all the new boys get a chance at some match experience.
Great to see everyone enjoying it and getting stuck in.
